“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain
It wasn’t until Glen’s first trip to Cambodia in 2007 that he first discovered the beauty of observation in all its different forms. For the following 5 years Glen has travelled to Cambodia, and more recently to Ethiopia, to capture simplistic beauty of those special moments.
The Cambodian photos, whilst in part reflecting on its history, focuses on the aftermath of the brutal Pol Pt regime. Glen’s story and photo journal through Cambodia has been documented in the release of his new book, Beauty Within Darkness: Letters from Cambodia.
The Ethiopian photos capture the natural beauty of the ancient Omo river tribes, at a time before their cultural innocence begins to fade and eventually be lost to the rapidly encroaching western influence.
