About Me

“Traveling is a brutality. It forces you to trust strangers and to lose sight of all that familiar comfort of home and friends. You are constantly off balance. Nothing is yours except the essential things – air, sleep, dreams, the sea, the sky – all things tending towards the eternal or what we imagine of it.” Cesare Pavese

Glen Bosman was born in the 1954 and grew up and educated in Western Australia. After graduating from the University of Western Australia in 1976 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree he commenced his initial working career as an accountant and finance analyst/executive in both the professional and commercial worlds.

Glen married in 1982 and has two daughters.

In 2007, he first travelled to Cambodia. Burning images of children existing on Phnom Penh’s garbage dump became the trigger not only his interest in photography, but also for this journey and a life changing experience.

On the 1st May, 2013 Glen will launch his first book, Beauty Within Darkness: Letters from Cambodia. The story provides a fascinating and often disturbing insight into Cambodia and its people. It is the culmination of five years of travelling and the documentation of his journey through exotic Cambodia as told through photography, poetry and letters.

All net proceeds from the launch will go towards the Women's Refuge Centre being built by the Cambodian Children's Trust in Battambang Cambodia. All subsequent net proceeds resulting from the sale of this book will go towards the improvement of lives of disadvantaged youth in Cambodia.

Glen is currently working on his next book, a journey into the heart of Africa, which is planned for release in late 2013.
